NOTES Imported Attic vessels dominate the Cyprus market from the 6th-4th century BC. They belong in the Black figure ware (6th century B. C.) and Red figure ware (5th century BC). They were brought to the island through the Eastern Greek merchant centres, mainly of Rhodes and Cyclades. Main motifs of the Attican pottery are illustrations of everyday life themes, mythology, scenes of the gymnasium as well as love scenes.
